We now welcome Ticket Bundles to MarketHype, an upgraded sales overview with new features, charts, and filters for deeper analysis of season tickets!
You will learn more about:
• What are Ticket Bundles?
• How foes Ticket Bundles work?
• Why analyze the sales of season tickets and subscriptions? (Three reasons!)
The term "ticket bundles" is a collective name for subscriptions, season tickets, and annual passes. In MarketHype, Ticket Bundles provide you with an overall view of sales, events, and marketing activities, specifically related to season tickets.
In MarketHype, we categorize ticket bundles into three different types:
This type of ticket bundle allows buyers to choose from known events at the time of purchase, with the number and selection of events varying. This type of season ticket is commonly used in concert halls, where buyers can create their own program by selecting from all events within a particular season.
With this type of ticket bundle, all buyers receive the same set of events. The price may vary depending on the ticket type and section of the venue. This type is common in sports clubs, where all home games of a season may be included in the season ticket.
This type of ticket bundle is not tied to specific events. The buyer can visit the organizer or destination throughout the season without specifying visit dates. This ticket type is typically used in museums, amusement parks, and other theme parks.
Ticket Bundles consists of four different views and a filter:
Under the Sales tab in Ticket Bundles, you can analyze the sales of your season tickets, subscriptions, and annual passes. Here you will find information on, among other things:
The number of season tickets/subscriptions/annual passes sold
Revenue from the sales of season tickets/subscriptions/annual passes
Sales over time – both daily and cumulative sales
Sales by ticket type, such as Section 2, Student, or VIP
Which add-on products are purchased in connection with season tickets/subscriptions/annual passes
Pick-up time – the number of days between the purchase and the first attended event (for the specific season ticket)
The Customers tab provides you with information about the buyers and customers. Who are purchasing season tickets, subscriptions, or annual passes? How old are they, and where do they live? Are the buyers primarily women or men?
Here you can see how your marketing activities have contributed to the sales of season tickets, subscriptions, and annual passes. The marketing activities refer to SMS and email campaigns sent via MarketHype.
In the Marketing view, you will find information such as:
Revenue generated in currency, per marketing activity
The percentage contribution of each marketing activity to sales
The number of orders placed, per marketing activity
The number of season tickets/subscriptions/annual passes purchased, per marketing activity
Only the marketing activities that have actually generated sales for the specific season ticket, subscription, or annual pass will be shown in this view.
The Events tab provides insights into which events season ticket buyers are attending. This view is particularly interesting for businesses selling flexible season tickets and subscriptions, where the buyer chooses which events to attend during the season. Why? Because the customer’s choices give you clues about which types of events generate the most interest among your audience.
In the Events view, you will see, among other things:
The number of events attended, per season ticket
The times, days of the week, and months when season ticket buyers attend events
Popular event tags, showing what percentage of orders include events tagged with, for example, musical, opera, or jazz
Which events and productions are most popular among buyers, for the specific season ticket or subscription
Another new feature in the sales overview is the ability to filter the presented statistics. Maybe you want to understand who the season ticket holders attending your Monday events are? Or see if the add-on products differ depending on the time of year the season tickets were purchased? In that case, the filter is your best friend!
The following filters are available in Ticket Bundles:
Ticket type, such as Section 2, Student, or VIP
Event
Production
Event tag
Event start time
Day of the week for the event
Event date
Now you know what Ticket Bundles are and what you can see in the different views. But why should you analyze the sales of your season tickets, subscriptions, and annual passes? Here are three reasons:
By analyzing sales data, you can identify which marketing activities and campaigns generate the most revenue – and which have been less effective. With this information in mind, you can adjust and improve your marketing strategies. After all, you want to maximize sales and reach the right audience, right? (Yes!)
Sales data analysis provides you with customer insights. You learn more about your customers’ purchasing habits, behaviors, and interests, and with this information, you can tailor (future) events, offers, and products to better meet your customers' needs and preferences. An added bonus is that this audience customization can, in turn, increase loyalty and customer satisfaction.
By analyzing trends in the sales of season tickets, subscriptions, and annual passes, you can make more accurate forecasts for future revenue. This facilitates budgeting and planning for future marketing activities and campaigns.
Within your sales data lies enormous potential to define, expand, and maintain customer relationships. In addition to Ticket Bundles, we also offer sales overviews for both events and productions.
